Lumbre

Privacy policy

Lumbre has no accounts and no server. What you read, where you are in it, your notes, your summaries and your reading streak stay on your devices and in your own iCloud, under your own Apple account. We cannot see any of it, and we have built the app so that we never could.

What stays with you

iCloud is provided by Apple under Apple's own terms. We hold no key that opens it.

What leaves your device, and to whom

Two things, and only these.

There is no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind. The app does not know who you are.

Legal basis

Where the GDPR applies, purchases are processed to perform the contract you enter with the App Store, and crash reports are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the app working. A crash report cannot be linked to you by us.

Your rights

You can access, export, correct and delete everything the app holds without asking us: it is on your devices and in your iCloud Drive, in the Files app. To delete all of it, delete the app, remove the Lumbre folder from iCloud Drive, and remove Lumbre under Settings › your name › iCloud › Manage Storage.

If you believe we hold anything about you, or want to exercise a right under the GDPR or another law, write to the address on the support page. We will answer within a month. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.

Children

Lumbre is not directed at children under 13, and the app holds nothing that identifies anyone of any age. If you are a parent and believe a child has sent us information through a support email, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes

If what the app sends, or who receives it, ever changes, this page changes in the same release, and the date below moves.
